Miru Han is a saxophonist and composer from South Korean. After completing his military service in 2021, he defined a solid conviction in jazz when he had jazz workshop in Berlin, which became a motivation made his mind to move to Europe.

His Father was a vocal coach and local singer and he is still singing actively. Miru learned singing, guitar, drums, and piano from his father from age of 9. Miru inherited a gift-like, intuitive talent for recognizing great melodies.

Starting the saxophone at the relatively late age of 15, he has continually work on with his saxophone career. Following 1st place at the "CBS Applied Music Competition" and the Grand Prize at the "2017 Kyung Hyang Music Competition". He subsequently won the Top Prize at the "Busan Jazz Rookie Contest" and the Grand Prize in the General Division at the "2023 Kyung Hyang Music Competition".

In 2026, he received his bachelor degree from the Amsterdam Conservatory and was admitted to the Amsterdam Conservatorium again and Manhattan School of Music graduate program in New York with a $50,000 annual scholarship for his Master study program. While he decided to continue his studies in Amsterdam conservatory, he was selected as a CJ Cultural Foundation scholarship recipient for overseas music graduate studies, receiving an annual support grant of $10,000 as he continues his studies.

Constantly exploring and experimenting with the beauty of sound and the value of music, Miru Han is now set to release his debut album as a leader with the Miru Group. His compositions form a unique mosaic combining the distinct Korean emotional depth of 'Han,' the European avant-garde flair of his current home, and the American traditionalism that has been with him since he first started jazz. As he captures the very essence he has long pursued into this unprecedented album, please stay tuned for what is to come.
